FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS
Hey There!
Hi, I'm Julia! Most people call me Jules.
I'm a photographer and artist. I'm spend my time between Fredericton, Montreal and the Laurentians.
What is it like to shoot with me?
I’ve been described as being present, calm and deeply rooted.
I’m not what you would call ebullient or bubbly, so if you’re looking for someone that brings a ton of energy to your event, I may not be your cup of tea. My idea of a good time is hanging out with my dogs, reading a delicious book by the fire, or finding myself in the great outdoors, preferably in a canoe. I also love to make art, tinker and explore.
My goal for campturing a special moment, be it a family session or a wedding, is comfort; making sure you are comfortable and most authentically yourself, while looking your best, kinda like a cool photography aunt.
As to how I shoot - I like to strike a balance between the details and the big picture so that there is a really great feel of the beauty and joy of your day.
What is documentary style shooting?
Documentary photography follows the events of the day in an organic, behind the scenes kind of way. It’s unscripted, and while it still captures all of the essentials, like walking down the isle and the first kiss, but also it's a great option for those looking for a candid style of photography that captures tender fleeting, intimate moments between the couple, but also between friends and family. It’s about capturing what’s real while also making you look your best.
What's your style?
My photography style dives into moodier, deeper colours and dramatic feel, regardless of the kind of lighting conditions we are shooting in. You can get a good feel for the finished look on my wedding page, here.
Can I still get some posed portraits?
Of course. If you want them - posed couple portraits, first looks, posed family portraits, and all the classics can absolutely be part of what is captured on your special day.
Who edits the photos?
I do! I've been shooting for nearly two decades and worked as a professional editor for 7 years, editing many many thousands of weddings, magazine, boudoir and family sessions.
How do the finished photos get delivered?
You and your spouse will receive a fully edited, high res photo gallery, that is password protected and ready for you to download and share with your loved ones. The typical turn around time, from wedding to getting your online wedding album is two to three weeks.
How much does it cost and what’s included?
For hourly sessions prices start at $325 + tax per hour with a 3 hour minimum. The day can start with the couple getting ready or just before the ceremony. For a complete price package, click here.
Can we pay in instalments?
Yes! Absolutely. Once we sign a contract, we can divide the payments into a two, or three payment system. The payment needs to be complete two weeks prior to the date of the wedding.
